Dr Arnt Vespermann
Chief Executive Officer

Dr Arnt Vespermann grew up in Flensburg and after graduating and his military services he read law at the University of Hamburg and completed his doctorate. He came into contact with the shipping industry through a traineeship at a Hamburg law firm specialized in shipping and shipping finance. In 1999 he joined Hamburg Süd and became head of legal department and the director of the tramp shipping subsidiary RAO in 2006. In 2009 he became a member of Hamburg Süd‘s Management Board and in 2017 he was appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Dr Arnt Vespermann joined the Offen Group in January 2022 as Chief Executive Officer. His main responsibilities include the overall strategy, key account management and new investments.

Christoph Gessner
Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Christoph Gessner grew up on the island of Föhr and started his career with a shipmechanic apprenticeship at Hamburg Süd followed by studies in nautical and technical sciences in Hamburg.

He continued in different job positions at sea and shore within the shipping company. After four years heading the shipmanagement department of the Brazilian subsidiary Aliança in Sao Paulo, he was 2014 appointed as Managing Director for Columbus Shipmanagement in Hamburg.

In direct continuation of a short stint at Maersk in Copenhagen he joined the Offen Group in December 2018 as Managing Director.

As Chief Operating Officer he is responsible for the technical and nautical inspection, technical development, crewing, procurement and quality, health, safety and security (QHSS) of the fleet.

Telge Krantz
Chief Financial Officer

Mr Telge Krantz joined Offen Group in October 2010 as Head of Finance, Acounting & Tax. Prior to this he worked 11 years as a German & US CPA and Tax Advisor at the consulting firm Deloitte in Germany and Canada. During this time he has particularly provided advice to listed medium-sized companies.

Before he joined Offen Group he also worked as Head of Finance, Accounting, Tax and Group Controlling for an international shipping company.

As Chief Financial Officer he is responsible for finance, accounting, tax, group controlling and investments.

Andreas Lübben
Chief Legal Officer

Mr. Andreas Lübben joined the Offen Group as Head of Legal in January 2011.

He is a lawyer and tax advisor. Before joining the company he worked for five years for a well known business law firm in Hamburg.

As Chief Legal Officer of the Offen Group he is responsible for the legal affairs of the entire Group.

Jan Hendrik Offen
Chief Commercial Officer

Mr Jan Hendrik Offen started his career at Offen Group in 1996.

Before joining the group he studied Business Administration at the University of Hamburg (M. Sc.) and afterwards worked in Norway for liner company Ivarans Rederi ASA.

He has since worked in different departments of the group and became member of the management board in 2005.

As Chief Commercial Officer he is responsible for the financial and commercial management, for chartering and operational related matters of the Offen Group’s container ship fleet.
